ER at Blue Diamond Opens to Patients
The ER at Blue Diamond, an extension of Spring Valley Hospital, opened for patient care on Monday, September 30, 2019. It is located at 9217 S. Cimarron, Las Vegas, NV, 89178.
This freestanding emergency department provides 24-hour emergency care every day of the year. It is staffed with the same medical personnel, including board-certified emergency medicine physicians, and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in Spring Valley Hospital’s emergency department. This includes an on-site laboratory, CT scanner and imaging equipment.
“This is an exciting time for us to bring our services to the communities along Blue Diamond Road,” said Leonard Freehof, CEO/Managing Director of Spring Valley Hospital. “We can care for the same types of emergencies and illnesses that would be seen at Spring Valley Hospital with less drive time and, we believe, shorter wait times. The flu season is around the corner, and historically, it becomes a busier time for area emergency departments. We’re pleased to be opening in time to help alleviate some of the longer wait times people may be concerned about.”
ER at Blue Diamond is the second freestanding emergency department in The Valley Health System. The first facility, ER at Green Valley Ranch, an extension of Henderson Hospital, opened in November 2018.
