"I’m excited to join the Spring Valley Hospital team," said Wise. "For almost 20 years, Spring Valley has added more private patient rooms, ER facilities, medical services, procedures and technology to benefit our Southern Nevada residents and tourists. I’m especially impressed with our advanced cardiovascular and neurosurgical services at Spring Valley Hospital. Our teams specialize in complex cardiovascular surgery, coronary angiograms with stenting, and structural heart procedures such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and MitraClips.

"On the neurosurgery side, we can perform interventional radiology procedures to treat cerebral aneurysms, large vessel occlusions (stroke), along with other neurosurgery procedures. And in late 2021, we began utilizing a unique device to treat pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in our cardiac/interventional radiology labs. The procedure only takes about an hour and decreases the possibility for the need for clot-busting drugs and time spent in the intensive care unit. These are the types of treatments that create a positive quality of life for our patients," said Wise.

Before joining Spring Valley Hospital, Wise served for four years as the CEO for Valley Hospital, a 306-bed facility in the Las Vegas Medical District, and previously spent 11 years at Summerlin Hospital, first as Associate Administrator and later as Chief Operating Officer. Both hospitals are part of The Valley Health System.

Wise earned both his Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration degrees from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Wise is an active board member of the Las Vegas American Heart Association and Nevada Donor Network.
